Chatsworth House, Chatsworth, Bakewell, Derbyshire
Located deep in the Peak District National Park, Chatsworth House is one of Britain’s best-known and well-loved historic estates.
Working closely with the architects and main contractors, MBL have provided a complete service of scheduling, restoration of the original fittings and manufacturing of many fine and intricate ironmongery fittings and locks to match the style of the house.
The ironmongery includes hand turned oak knobs on polished brass roses to a solid brass replica of the original Chapel lock case. Complete espagnolette systems have been manufactured to exactly replicate the original designs and even original locks have required sympathetic adaptation to meet modern requirements.
This will ensure the fabric and integrity of this most impressive house will be safe for future generations to admire.
